Torsion Add-On 2.0 | Biaxial Capability for 5900 Systems
The Torsion Add-On for 5900 systems brings a whole new level of testing capabilities to your lab, including the ability to expand product development capabilities, simulate real-world applications, and free up needed lab space. Adding torsion to a universal testing system is a simple way to convert an axial-only testing machine into a biaxial testing system.
The Instron® Torsion Add-On for electromechanical universal testing systems is designed for simple, simultaneous axial and torsional testing of devices and components. The Torsion Add-On is perfect for testing biomedical devices such as syringes and luer connections in accordance with common standards like ISO 11040-4 and ISO 80369 or performing complex biaxial evaluations of various components.
The Torsion Add-On easily mounts to any new Instron 5940 or 5960 systems or can be retrofitted in the field on existing Instron 5940 or 5960 systems. The torsion drive is mounted above the machine’s crosshead and the controller is mounted to the system’s column, maintaining the frame’s original footprint.
